My name is Katarzyna Szmigiel  and I am a board-certified dermatologist based in Barcelona.

Specializing in laser, surgical and aesthetic dermatology, I focus on enhancing natural skin health employing the latest evidence-based and personalized medical protocols aimed at maximizing patient results.

Currently, I am affiliated with the Institut de Dermatologia Garcés, Derma Associats at Centro Medico Teknon and Corium Dermatology Clinic.

I earned my medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Wroclaw, Poland and completed specialized training in dermatology and venereology at the 4th Military Clinical Hospital in Wroclaw, Poland. Additionally, I received formal education in aesthetic medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (Amsterdam, the Netherlands). Currently, I am enrolled in the master’s degree programme in “Laser and light-based-systems in dermato-aesthetic pathologies” at the University of Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain).

I underwent training on the skin cancer diagnosis with dermoscopy (ISCD) at the Department of Dermatology Medical University of Graz, Austria. Aditionally, I am a scholairship holder from the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology in the topic of Cosmetic Dermatology (Brussels, Belgium), Intermediate - Advanced Surgery (Thesalonniki, Greece) and Skin Cancer (Ljubljana, Slovenia), as well as from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (Advanced Training Course in Beijing, China). I attended Research Exchange Program at Evandro Chagas Institute (Ananindeua, Brasil), besides others. I finished official fellowship at the Hospital Clinic (Barcelona, Spain) and at the Teknon Medical Center (Barcelona, Spain) in Advanced  Dermatological Surgery and Mohs Surgery.
